What’s To Love About Lovi?

Despite being born into showbiz royalty, it’s safe to say that Lovi Poe has made a name for herself, solidifying her presence in the entertainment industry. But even this critically acclaimed Filipina actress can’t help but to return to her first love—music.

A true testament that one’s first love never dies, music has been a constant in Lovi’s life. After discovering her passion for singing at a young age, she has gone on to pursue her childhood dream alongside a flourishing acting career. As she makes her debut in the U.S. music industry, there’s no denying how much she’s evolved as a musician.

“Music I’ve recorded recently, they’re very different, of course, compared to when I recorded my songs when I was 16. And I’ve worked with amazing producers and everyone I’ve worked with, the whole team, they’re just all so talented to the point that they’re kind of intimidating which is something I think that’s good because it keeps you on your toes and makes you want to excel more,” Lovi reflects on her musical journey.

Even after releasing singles “Under”, “Lost”, and “Candy” in quick succession earlier this year, Lovi still has special projects lined up showing that she truly means business.

“Well, my EP will be released soon and I do have beautiful tracks coming out,” Lovi hints as she talks about her latest musical endeavor. “There’s just so much to look forward to because, my EP—I feel like it has something for everybody, like there’s a piece for every emotion, every person.”

But Lovi’s upcoming EP and ever growing list of singles isn’t the only showcase of her versatility as an artist. Throughout her 15 year career as an actress, Lovi was never one to shy away from a role no matter how challenging. Her latest project is no exception as she transforms into the iconic, British blues singer Dana Gillespie in The Chelsea Cowboy, a biopic based on the life of John Bindon. Lovi joins a star studded cast under the direction of Ben Cookson that includes Alex Pettyfer and Poppy Delevingne.
